Essay about cocaine

Cocaine is a stimulating substance which affects directly the brain. It is extremely adictive.

Cocaine is a dangerous drug. Some of its effects are cardiovascular problems like hipertension and cardiac arrests; pulmonar problems like trombosis or alveoli bleeding; pregnancy problems like premature abortion; psychiatric problems like depression or paranoia; and many more.

As I said above, it is really adictive, and that, plus its danger, makes a really bad combination. The effects it causes on consumption are things that maybe make you feel good, but in reality they are bad. These effects create dependence on the drug to the point where it hurts to leave it (a.k.a. abstinence syndrome) and you simply can’t. In fact, it happens with any substance of this kind, even coffee. The human body learns to live with the substance and it becomes something that you need, even though it isn’t.

Cocaine has its lesser good side. It can be used as anesthesia, for example. But it is really easy to abuse its consumption.

You don’t need cocaine or any other drug to live happily. They may give you a short time of bliss, but the effects that come after aren’t good in any way. Everyone should avoid even the littlest taste of these substances because each person is different. In some, drugs may not cause addiction instantly, but in many others they may do; but this is something you really couldn’t know. But, well, drugs indeed have some positive effects, but when administrated in a controlled environment.

Recapitulating, drugs can wreck you and your loved ones if you consume them carelessly.
